Groupe M6 is proud to support La Fresque Généreuse (or ‘the generous mural’), an artistic and philanthropic initiative created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Paris Brain Institute (Institut du Cerveau).
As part of this partnership, Olivier Goy – an ambassador of the Brain Institute who is living with motor neurone disease (ALS) – visited Groupe M6 alongside Brian Lau, Scientific Director of the Institute, for a conference hosted by M6 journalist and presenter Ophélie Meunier. In a moving exchange, Olivier shared his personal journey and explained how assistive technologies – including voice synthesis – enable him to continue communicating despite the loss of speech.
During a four-day pop-up at Groupe M6, 212 colleagues stepped in front of Olivier’s camera – including familiar faces, from Chairman of the Executive Board David Larramendy to M6 personalities such as Kareen Guiock Thuram, Cyril Hanouna, Éric Antoine, Stéphanie Duval, Mac Lesggy, Juju Fitcats, and many, many more.
Their portraits will become part of a 200-square-metre mural displayed on the façade of the Paris Brain Institute.

The mural, designed by artist Vahram Muratyan – known to the wider public for his book Paris versus New York – will be composed of 3,000 portraits. Together, they’ll form a striking patchwork paying tribute to the 100,000 donors who have supported the Institute over the past 15 years.
David Larramendy says: “I’m proud of Groupe M6’s commitment alongside the Brain Institute and Olivier Goy. Our contribution may be modest compared to Olivier’s extraordinary determination and the dedication of Les Invincibles, but it is collective and reflects our deep respect and admiration.”
David continues: “As an audiovisual media group, we have a responsibility to bring these causes into the public conversation, to support research and to leverage the full reach of our platforms in support of initiatives that help move society forward.”
In his interview with Ophélie Meunier, when asked for his message for people recently diagnosed with ALS or similar conditions, Olivier said: “You’re allowed to be afraid. You’re allowed to be tired, to falter. But keep this certainty: you are wholly alive! Your value doesn’t disappear with a diagnosis. Your ability to love, to think, to matter to people – those stay intact. Surround yourselves by loved ones, speak out, accept help – it’s not a weakness, it’s a resource.”
“Finally: life doesn’t end there! It changes, sometimes it gets slower, but it stays profoundly alive.”
