Fremantle’s Element Pictures has received five prestigious acclaims for Poor Things at the 2024 British Academy Film Awards.

After receiving two Golden Globes and 11 Oscar nominations, Poor Things was recognised at the 77th British Academy Film Awards on 18 February. The film, produced by Fremantle company Element Pictures and directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, won in the following five categories:

  • Leading Actress | Emma Stone
  • Best Costume Design | Holly Waddington
  • Best Make Up & Hair | Nadia Stacey, Mark Coulier, Josh Weston
  • Best Production Design | Shona Heath, James Price, Zsuzsa Mihalek
  • Special Visual Effects | Simon Hughes

The BAFTA awards have been honouring the best British and international productions since 1949. Each year, BAFTA members select the nominees and vote for the winners, which means the awards are selected by industry peers.

Congratulations to our colleagues working on the film!
