Poor Things is the comedy-fantasy masterpiece from Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos that everyone is talking about. After winning The Golden Lion award – one of the most prestigious prizes in the film industry – at last year’s Venice Film Festival and picking up two Golden Globes – ‘Best Motion Picture’ and ‘Best Female Actor’ for Emma Stone – this month, Poor Things has now been nominated for an outstanding 11 Oscars.

With a total of 13 nominations, only Oppenheimer was nominated for more Oscars than Poor Things. The 96th Academy Awards will be announced on 10 March during a ceremony in California. Poor Things has also received 11 nominations for the upcoming BAFTA Film Awards, which will be announced in London on 18 February.
