UFA Produkció celebrates 10 years in Hungary
Fremantle’s Hungarian production unit marks a decade of growth, strong partnerships and creative success, with over 1,000 hours of non-fiction content and a robust 2026 production line-up.

On 10 April 2026, UFA Produkció celebrated its 10th anniversary by bringing together partners and broadcasters to reflect on the company’s journey and future ambitions.

🔹From local division to leading production brand

Founded in 2015 as the Show & Factual division of UFA Magyarország, the Budapest-based team has developed into a key player in Hungary’s entertainment landscape. Now operating under the name UFA Produkció, the company is recognised for its diverse portfolio, high production standards and close collaboration with leading broadcasters across the country.

Emese Ács (to the right), Managing Director of UFA Produkció, says: “Over the past ten years, we have grown from a small division into an established entertainment brand that plays a key role in shaping Hungarian television. I am proud of our team and how we continue to reinvent ourselves.”

Sascha Kleinschmidt (to the left), Managing Director of UFA Produkció, says: “UFA Produkció stands for quality, creative energy and production strength. The anniversary is a milestone – and at the same time a starting point for a new phase in which we will further expand our international footprint.”

🔹A decade of growth and creative success

Over the past ten years, UFA Produkció has produced more than 1,000 hours of non-fiction entertainment, including some of Hungary’s most successful show brands such as X Factor, The Masked Singer, Got Talent, Take Me Out and The Voice.

Today, the company combines a strong slate of widely recognised formats with an increasing number of in-house developments, while also positioning itself as an internationally connected production hub.

🔹A strong line-up for 2026

In its anniversary year, UFA Produkció continues to build on this success with a broad and ambitious production slate.

For RTL Hungary, the team will produce the 14th season of X Factor and the 5th season of The Masked Singer, both among the country’s most popular entertainment formats. New projects include Best Bid, a format in which participants present valuable or unique items to be evaluated by experts, as well as the second season of B&B of Love and the new show Weekly 7.

Beyond RTL Hungary, the third season of the in-house format Hit the Road with Me – recently recognised with the Hungarian Big Picture Award and the TV Journalists Award – will be produced for Viasat 3.

Further projects are currently in development as UFA Produkció continues to expand its portfolio and strengthen its position both locally and internationally
