RTL Deutschland celebrates a decade of entertainment
The tenth season of Das Sommerhaus der Stars will feature new celebrity couples and Ninja Warrior Germany will showcase thrilling competitions and fan-favourite returns.

Das Sommerhaus der Stars – ten years of trouble

RTL Deutschland's popular reality show, Das Sommerhaus der Stars – Kampf der Promipaare (Power Couple), is gearing up for its tenth season, marking a significant milestone in its history. Since its debut in 2016, the show has captivated audiences with its blend of celebrity couples, intense challenges and unexpected conflicts, all set against the backdrop of a charming yet chaotic summer house.

Ahead of the anniversary season, RTL Deutschland broadcast a special edition with eight non-celebrity couples. Another eight couples – this time well-known figures – will be in the spotlight in the new eleven-part season, which kicks off on 16 September. The new season promises to be more entertaining than ever, featuring returning favourites from previous seasons. The anniversary cast includes, among others:

  • Actor Jochen Horst and his wife Tina Horst
  • Singers Silva Gonzalez, aka ”Hot Banditoz”, and Stefanie Schanzleh
  • Hanka Rackwitz, who won the 2004 season of in Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus! (I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!), and her partner Pierre

Ninja Warrior Germany – a decade of athletic excellence

RTL Deutschland is also celebrating the tenth anniversary of Ninja Warrior Germany, a show that has redefined the landscape of competitive reality television.

Over the past decade, Ninja Warrior Germany has showcased the incredible talents of athletes as they tackle a series of obstacles designed to test their strength, agility and determination. The show's format, inspired by the original Japanese version, has garnered a loyal following and positioned Germany as one of only three countries worldwide to reach ten seasons of this popular franchise.

Premiering on 19 September, the anniversary season will once again be hosted by the trio of Frank “Buschi” Buschmann, Jan Köppen and Laura Wontorra. Throughout the twelve new episodes, viewers can expect even more challenges and the return of fan-favourite athletes.

The anniversary seasons of both shows will premiere on streaming service RTL+ one week ahead of the linear broadcasts.
