Sylviane Lecomte knows what it takes to lead change. As Chief Discovery & Experience Officer at Bedrock, RTL Group’s streaming tech company, she plays a pivotal role in helping broadcasters transition into competitive streaming platforms. In the latest episode of RTL stories – The podcast, Sylviane offers a behind-the-scenes look at how Bedrock supports its partners across the entire client journey – from pre-sales to onboarding and beyond.

She reflects on major milestones like the successful migration of Videoland in the Netherlands – one of Bedrock’s largest projects to date – and looks ahead to the ongoing migration of RTL+ in Germany, set to be completed in early 2026. “This migration will help us grow on so many levels and in so many directions,” she says. But transformation isn’t just about tech. “Broadcasters are going through a major shift,” she explains. “It’s about bringing value to content across all devices, from linear TV to mobile.”

The conversation also dives into key industry trends such as FAST channels, strategic partnerships and the growing influence of AI. “AI touches every area of what we do,” Sylviane notes. She also highlights how innovation is embedded in Bedrock’s culture through initiatives like ‘Bedrock Labs’, which empowers employees across departments to experiment and bring new ideas to life.

On a personal note, Sylviane shares the values that have shaped her journey – from engineering studies to leading international teams. “Curiosity, openness and action,” she says when asked what drives her. And while her name might raise eyebrows in France – “it’s an old lady’s name,” she laughs – her story is anything but traditional. It’s one of bold thinking, continuous learning and a deep passion for building the future of streaming.
