Groupe M6 reveals its line-up for the 2025/26 season
French favourites, global premieres and major sporting events: Groupe M6 unveils its ambitious line-up for the 2025/26 season.

As Groupe M6 prepares to launch its 2025/26 season, the company reveals a rich blend of fresh formats, beloved classics and high-stakes live sports events – all part of a strategy that underscores innovation, heritage and growing digital reach.

“A season at the heart of global entertainment”

During the official programme presentation, David Larramendy, Chairman of the Executive Board of Groupe M6, declared that the group is positioned “at the heart of a global event” – a reference to its broadcast of the 2026 Fifa World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Having secured rights to 54 matches, M6 is primed for record-breaking viewership. The broadcaster will also air the Champions League finals in 2026 and 2027, building on the 10.3 million viewers who tuned in for the 2025 final between Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan – hoping for the return of the Champions League winners PSG next year.

Proven success, smart renewal

Beyond sports, Guillaume Charles, Member of the Executive Board in charge of Programming and Content at Groupe M6, outlined a season marked by the fusion of trusted formats and bold new content: “We’re continuing to innovate while remaining true to our values of creativity, viewer connection and French identity.”

This commitment is evident in Groupe M6’s strong support for French fiction, with in-house and partner-produced series and TV films at the forefront. The new daily series Nouveau Jour (New day) – a unique blend of soap and thriller filmed in Montpellier – joins perennial favourites such as Scènes de Ménages (Domestic quarrels), Caméra Café and En Famille. The season also features an array of French film premieres.

“We are proud to continue our commitment to French creativity. Fiction, news, documentaries, entertainment, magazines: our offering is more diverse, inclusive and rich than ever. It reflects the diversity of talent, ideas and voices that make up France today.” - David Larramendy

Exciting new formats and familiar faces

Viewers can look forward to new shows including:

  • 99 à battre (99 to beat) – a high-energy game show
  • Être une femme dans les années 60 (Being a woman in the 60s)– a magazine-style reflection on women’s lives in the 1960s
  • Ma rénovation est la plus belle de France (My renovation is the most beautiful in France) – a heartwarming competition focused on home restoration
  • Beloved chef Cyril Lignac will also return with a new format where aspiring cooks prepare dishes for the renowned gourmet.

Documentaries and cultural reflection

The documentary line-up promises compelling storytelling, with features on Céline Dion, Johnny Hallyday’s son, and an exploration of modern French society after 100 years of migration produced by Karine Le Marchand. These are complemented by a diverse selection of French and international cinema.

Long-standing shows such as L’amour est dans le pré (Farmer wants a wife), Pékin Express, La France a un incroyable talent, and Enquête exclusiveeach celebrating 20 seasons in 2025 – return to delight loyal audiences.

M6+: strengthening the digital-linear ecosystem

The new season extends far beyond linear TV. Sister channels W9, 6ter, Gulli, Canal J, Tiji, Paris Première and Téva will each offer targeted and rich programming. At the same time, the streaming service M6+ continues to grow, offering on-demand access to sports, series, and French productions.

David Larramendy concludes: “With the complementary offer of our linear channels and our streaming service, we are addressing an ever-growing audience. The digital skilfully completes the linear, extends, enriches and dynamises it.”

“This time, we’re changing dimensions... As we return from the summer break, we reaffirm our vision: that of a bold, ambitious media group deeply rooted in the lives of French people.
