RTL+ partners exclusively with HBO Max for its Germany launch
Two standout content worlds, one subscription, double the entertainment: RTL+ will be the exclusive bundle partner for the Germany launch of HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service, on 13 January.

This combination creates a compelling new offer for streaming audiences: RTL+ will be the exclusive bundle partner for the Germany launch of HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service, on 13 January. As part of this agreement, RTL+ will offer access to both services with a single subscription, bringing together the best of two entertainment worlds.

The bundle combines RTL+ highlights such as Neue Geschichten vom Pumuckl (Pumuckl’s New Adventures), Make Love, Fake Love and the Uefa Europa League with HBO Max’s extensive content offering, including House of the Dragon, The White Lotus and iconic series such as Game of Thrones, Sex and the City and Friends. For users, this creates a compelling offer: a broad selection of high-quality content, easily accessible at an attractive price.

“RTL+ and HBO Max – this is an excellent combination of two outstanding content worlds. The most successful local content on RTL+, ranging from reality and fiction to sport, combined with top series, iconic films and much more from HBO Max. With this bundle, we’re taking the next step in the RTL+ success story and providing HBO Max with a strong platform for its market launch in Germany,” says Stephan Schmitter, CEO of RTL Deutschland. “Following our extensive Warner content deal and our ad sales partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, this new streaming bundle represents another major step in our partnership. We are creating an offer whose breadth and appeal we are proud of – and one that will resonate strongly with streaming audiences.”

Matthias Heinze, SVP Commercial & Managing Director Warner Bros. Discovery Germany, Switzerland & Austria, adds: “By bundling HBO Max and RTL+, we are combining iconic, internationally acclaimed storytelling from HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery with RTL+’s strong local presence and its most popular titles. Together, we are creating an offer that complements itself perfectly and brings entertainment for every taste and every generation together under one roof. This partnership sends a strong signal for the German market and for the future of premium streaming.”
