New programming season at Groupe M6
Groupe M6 has announced its programming for the 2024/25 season, with documentaries, dramas, sports and new Originals for M6+.

Following the strong financial results for the first quarter of 2024and the leadership transition to David Larramendy, Groupe M6 will continue to focus on strong brands and innovate during the upcoming season.

New documentaries, French fiction and engaging TV programmes

Among the entertainment shows, the classics will continue to be broadcast, such as Le Maillon Faible (The Weakest Link) and Pékin Express (Peking Express), and new shows will make their grand entrance on the French market, such as Le Golden Bachelor (The Golden Bachelor) and 99 à battre (99 to Beat).

Engaging new documentaries will make their debut, including Le monde en drone (The world in a drone) by filmmaker Yann Arthus-Bertrand, which will take the audiences on breathtaking aerial journeys exploring our planet's beauty and fragility, and Les Français, l'amour et le sexe (The French, love and sex), which explores love, relationships, and intimacy.

New French dramas such as Mémoire vive (Random access memory), captivating tales that blur the boundaries between memory and reality, and Clean, a gripping crime drama that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats, as well as adaptations such as Le tatoueur d'Auschwitz (The Tattooist of Auschwitz), a powerful adaptation of historical events, will captivate audiences.

Groupe M6 will also launch new TV formats, such as On n’est pas d’accord! (We don’t agree), which will feature stimulating debates on topical issues, and La meilleure cuisine régionale (The best regional cuisine), which aims to find the region that best showcases its culinary specialities.

Five M6+ Originals

Groupe M6 has announced five Original programmes on its new streaming platform M6+, including MMA Academy, Goku Comedy Club and JT du Gorafi. In addition, Corner Hayu, following an agreement with NBC Universal, which offers American series, will be available exclusively to M6+ Max subscribers. The range of series includes favourites such as Modern Love and La Fabuleuse Madame Maisel (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), while the entire Rocky franchise will also arrive on the platform.

Sports: UEFA rights, NFL return and Kings League France

On the sports front, Groupe M6 has acquired the free-to-air rights of the UEFA Champions League final from UEFA for three years. For the first time in its history, M6 will be the official free-to-air broadcaster of the UEFA Champions League final in 2025, 2026 and 2027.

The NFL will be back on M6+, with a new regular season match every Sunday. Groupe M6 also announced that it will broadcast the seven-a-side football competition ‘Kings League France’ in February 2025.
