Joining forces: Smartclip and M6 Publicité
Smartclip, RTL Group’s ad-tech business, and M6 Publicité, the advertising sales house of Groupe M6, announce a strategic technology partnership.

Smartclip’s advanced ad-tech solutions will progressively be integrated into M6 Publicité’s ad-tech stack, supporting Groupe M6’s ambition to triple its streaming revenues to €200 million by 2028. For Smartclip, this partnership is a major milestone, strengthening its local expertise and consolidating its position as a leading ad-tech partner for broadcasters across Europe.

Through this progressive collaboration with Smartclip, M6 Publicité will have access to: 

  • A platform tailored to the needs of European broadcasters, enabling close collaboration with Smartclip to set ad-tech priorities and drive innovation. Supported by a dedicated local team in France, Smartclip leverages its deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and market demands to address the unique challenges of the French market effectively.

  • A unified technology set-up for streaming and addressable TV (segmented TV and L-banner), ensuring seamless delivery of advertising content across diverse environments.

  • Enhanced capabilities to integrate new demand sources, enable open programmatic buying and foster inventory collaborations across national and international markets, all while optimising operational efficiency.

  • Enriched real-time, cross-media measurement reporting through the integrated user interface from Realytics, a French ad-tech company owned by Smartclip. The interface provides a powerful tool for actionable insights and performance analysis.

This partnership further solidifies Smartclip’s position as a leader in the European ad-tech market and positions M6 Publicité at the forefront of the rapidly evolving digital advertising landscape.

Similar to the recently announced technology partnership between Bedrock (a French streaming technology company co-owned by RTL Group and Groupe M6) and RTL+ in Germany (RTL Group’s largest streaming service), this strategic move aligns with RTL Group’s strategy to foster alliances and partnerships and drive growth across Europe.
