Luc Marteling studied communication, media psychology, and Renaissance philosophy in Munich after graduating from the Lycée classique d’Echternach in 1994. He began his journalism career in Luxembourg with Télécran and Luxemburger Wort, before joining RTL Luxembourg in 2008 as the first editor-in-chief of RTL.lu.

After further studies and a master’s in Luxembourgish, he became the founding director of the 'Zenter fir d’Lëtzebuerger Sprooch' in 2019.

In July 2024, he returns to journalism as Director of Information at RTL Luxembourg, succeeding Guy Weber. He is also a published author, children's book translator, and co-founder of the publishing house Kremart Edition.
