
Smartclip, RTL Group’s ad-tech business, and RTL Hungary have announced a strategic technology partnership aimed at enhancing RTL Hungary’s digital and linear advertising capabilities. As part of the cooperation, RTL Hungary has introduced Smartx – a holistic, end-to-end ad-server and SSP (supply-side platform) solution built by Smartclip.
This technology enables RTL Hungary to connect the worlds of linear and digital television, offering innovative, privacy-safe advertising solutions within its own inventory. Through this integration, RTL Hungary can provide more efficient and modern advertising solutions to its clients, while Smartclip continues to strengthen its position in the European ad-tech market.

The transition to the Smartx system was successfully completed on 1 April. The first campaigns using the technology have already been launched on RTL Hungary’s streaming service RTL+ and online platform rtl.hu.
This partnership, highlighting both companies' dedication to delivering the best possible viewer experience, supports RTL Group's strategy of fostering alliances and partnerships to accelerate growth in Europe. The collaboration between Smartclip and M6 Publicité, the advertising sales house of Groupe M6, announced in December 2024, is another example of this strategic approach.
