For its 25th anniversary, RTL Hungary introduces the new RTL brand identity and joins the unified, visual world of RTL.
RTL Hungary celebrates its 25th birthday this year. For this occasion, the company introduces the new RTL brand identity and joins the unified and harmonised brand architecture of RTL. Adapting a completely new, fresh look, certain RTL channels and digital platforms will be rebranded. After 25 years, the company’s flagship channel, RTL Klub, will be renamed RTL. The new identity is charactarised by a strong focus on the diverse and colourful content RTL offers. Alongside its brand revamp, RTL Hungary also announces its highlight shows for the autumn programming, as well as two nostalgia shows to celebrate the 25th anniversary.
In October 1997, almost exactly 25 years ago, RTL Klub – one of the first commercial televisions in Hungary – was launched. To celebrate its quarter-century anniversary this year, RTL Hungary will join the unified European identity of its parent company, RTL Group. Starting this autumn, RTL Hungary will completely renew its corporate identity as well as some of its television and digital brands. After RTL Deutschland and the newly created RTL Ad Alliance, RTL Hungary will be the third business unit within the Group to adopt the new identity. RTL Luxembourg and RTL Nederland will follow in the next phase of the project. The new branding is characterised by diversity and variety, which will be reflected in the multicoloured logo of RTL Group.
Gabriella Vidus, CEO of RTL Hungary, says: ”Our new identity will be as diverse and varied as our content, services and colleagues. The unified RTL brand will be synonymous with authentic information, entertainment and value-based stories across all platforms and channels.”
After 25 years, RTL Hungary will say goodbye to the familiar name RTL Klub. From the end of October, the channel will operate under the name RTL. The changes will only be reflected in the new name and brand elements, while the channels, content genres and other non-branding features of the video-on-demand platform will remain the same.
R-Time, the media sales house of RTL Hungary, will also introduce a new name and design. From 3 October 2022, it will work with the same advertising portfolio under the new name RTL Saleshouse. The appearance of the sales house is perfectly aligned with RTL’s image and will use the unified logo adapted by RTL Hungary.
Gergő Dudás, Commercial Director of RTL Hungary, says: “The renewal of our brand aims to place more emphasis on our relationship with RTL. We will operate with a new image and name while offering the same portfolio to our partners.”
To highlight the most memorable moments of the last 25 years, RTL Hungary will broadcast two full-evening shows for its upcoming anniversary. In addition to highlighting nostalgic moments, the company is preparing for an exciting autumn season with new shows for their viewers.
The internationally successful dating reality show, Házasodna a gazda (Farmer wants a wife), will return to the screens of RTL Klub (soon to be RTL) with a fifth season. Every weekday, viewers can follow four farmers in their search for a partner. Presenter Anikó Nádai, will give farmers useful advice and guide them through the maze of finding the right match.
Fans of the most popular talent show in Hungary, X-Faktor, will also see some changes in this year’s edition: Erika Herceg, a popular singer from Transcarpathia, will join the mentors in their search for talent. Moreover, as an extra twist, any singer or brand can pair up with any of the mentors.
This autumn, RTL Hungary will bring to the screen the Hungarian version of the internationally popular show Game of Talents. In the show, two couples – one of which is a celebrity – try to guess the hidden and often unique talents of the performer – such as fire dancing, singing and dog training.
The highly successful reality show, Celeb vagyok, ments ki innen! (I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!) returns with a new season. This time, the setting is the Colombian jungle, where celebrities will have to cope without the comforts of modern civilisation and participate in challenging games.
Locally developed and highly popular formats, such as A mi kis falunk (Our little village), Keresztanyu (The Godmother) and NőComment! (FemaleComment!), will also going stay on the screens of RTL Klub (RTL) this autumn.
