The newly created division within Ad Alliance in Germany specifically targets the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Communication within these regulated sectors can be a delicate balance between promotion and education, requiring careful consideration of various communication approaches and messages. To meet these demands, Ad Alliance has assembled a team led by Sebastian Dankwart, Director Sales Healthcare at Ad Alliance. He will report directly to Carola Wargel, General Director Sales Print and Cross-Media at Ad Alliance, and will be part of the Sales Management team under Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Michael Dorn.
Since 1 January 2024, the German Ad Alliance is responsible for the advertising sales of Bauer Media Group’s print portfolio, alongside the entire digital portfolio, including well-known brands such as Bravo, Tina, In Touch and Meins.
Michael Dorn, CSO of Ad Alliance, says: “With the advertising sales of the Bauer Media Group, we are strengthening the pharmaceutical expertise within the Ad Alliance portfolio. 25 print brands reach around 24 million people in Germany, covering a wide range of diverse target groups. Implementing a specialist team with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, target groups, and market mechanisms was a logical step. The responsibility for these topics is in excellent hands with Carola and Sebastian. They are the perfect combination of deep understanding of print brands, cross-media staging, and industry expertise.”

Sebastian Dankwart comes from Bauer Media Group, where he served in various positions since 2010, most recently as Head of Healthcare Sales. He has gained extensive experience in the media business, in which he started his career in 1999.
By consolidating advertising sales activities in the new healthcare unit, Ad Alliance reaches 14.3 million German individuals interested in healthcare*, covering 99 per cent of this target group across all media types.
The new division will be complemented by the continuation of the Pharma Symposium, a key industry event originally established by the Bauer Media Group. The event remains an important platform for networking and exchange and now has a new home. On 2 April 2025, Ad Alliance will host the relaunch of the Pharma Symposium in Cologne, inviting decision-makers from the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
